Little Bear Needle Felted Tree Decoration
Named after Ursa Minor, the star constellation, this Little Bear tree decoration has sparkly wings, of course! For those of you wishing your bear to be more earth bound (ie without wings) worry not their backs are not bare as they also have little fluffy tails.
Made entirely using the needle felting process (finger guards will be available) except that is for stitching on their 100% wool felt sparkly wings.
Price includes all materials and light refreshments - teas, biscuits and because it’s festive clementines and dates!
Please note dated open workshops need a minimum of 3 people to run. They are suitable for children* from 14 years capable of using a felting needle.
Flexi workshops are available for small groups of 6 - 10
Tabletop Workshops take place at the Purr & Wag It home studio in Camberwell, London SE5.
Unless otherwise stated AM workshops run 10-1pm and PM workshops 2-5pm.

*For this one all children must be a minimum of 14 years, no younger please, this is for safety, and accompanied by a paying adult/guardian.
Heather will take you step by step through how to make the the various parts of the bear using needle felting techniques. She’ll then show you how to bring the pieces together to create the bear. You’ll then give the bear features using a tiny amount of black wool tops. Lastly, if you want, the wings will be stitched in place. No need to make notes or photos of what you’re doing as a crib sheet will be provided. The workshop is timed to be quite leisurely so for those who work faster there’ll be the option to have another cup of tea and biscuit.
Your bears will be made using a combination of Perendale wool batt and merino wool tops. The wings will have been pre cut from 100% wool felt coated on one side with a little fine iridescent glitter. Think you’ll want to make another? Extra materials will be available to purchase at the end of the class.
