In Person Festive Everlasting Mistletoe Sprig OR Xmas Wreath
My ever popular festive mistletoe workshop! Learn how to make a sprig of everlasting mistletoe from 100% wool or, a small wreath.
Hang in your own home or gift to friends.
Priced per participant: workshops need a minimum of 3 people to run.
Sprig/Wreath: Evenings 6.30-9.30pm Mornings 10-1pm Afternoons 2-5pm
If my dates and times don’t suit gather some friends (4 minimum) and get in touch for a private workshop either at my home studio or (for a small additional fee) at your venue.
These Tabletop Workshops take place at the Purr & Wag It home studio in Camberwell, London SE5.
Sprig : You'll learn how to create the branches from floristry wire and 100% wool and cut the leaf shapes from the 100% wool felt provided. Then you'll attach the berries and leaves by hand stitching and add a final flourish with a piece of red organza ribbon.
NB: As you will be cutting your leaves during the workshop you may not stitch all of these or the berries to your sprig within the session. However, you'll take home sufficient materials to do so in your own time.
Wreath: For this you'll first cover a metal ring with floristry crepe. Then you’ll cut your mistletoe leaves, again using 100% wool machine formed felt. Next I’ll show you how to bring the components together to form the wreath. Lastly you will use red organza ribbon to form a bow and hanger as a final flourish.
This workshop includes quite a lot of cutting.
If you have arthritis in your hands or a similar condition you may find binding the wire tautly a little tricky but I can help you with this. Also the stitch work is likely to take a little longer.
Whether you opt for the sprig or the wreath they’re much a case of straight forward once you know how.
